WHAT WE DO

A voluntary project of the University Women’s Association at the University of Nigeria, Nsukka, founded in 1978 to help children and youth attain their full potential. Its services include a model children's library, activity programs for all round development, and outreach to the wider community.
The Children’s Centre aims to respond to the needs of Nigerian children and families and the realities of modern life by providing relevant facilities and experiences for growth in a relaxed, warm, but professionally guided atmosphere. We also create an atmosphere for children to explore the wealth of Nigerian culture—its concepts, values, festivals, literature, music, artisan activities and all forms of creative expression.
